INTERMEDIX CORPORATION ACQUIRES HEALTHWARE SOLUTIONS

Fort Lauderdale, FL - Intermedix Corporation, the leading provider of technology-based business services to emergency providers, announced today the acquisition of HealthWare Solutions (“HWS”), a leading provider of electronic patient care reporting software.

HWS, based in Arcata, California, has been delivering its signature product line, EMS Solution Suite™, to leading emergency response agencies throughout the United States since 1999. HWS’s flagship product, EMS Solution 2000™, is a comprehensive mobile data collection tool that allows for patient side documentation of critical incident information. EMS Solution 2000™ is paired with robust validation and reporting modules, ensuring accurate collection and reporting of all necessary data, leading to continuous quality improvement throughout its customer base.

Intermedix is the largest independent provider of medical billing and technology to emergency medical services agencies in the United States. Intermedix provides mobile tablet computers loaded with its TripTix® patient incident reporting software and high speed wireless access for clients to capture patient information at the scene of the incident. Clients pay for this system, along with the billing services, based on a percentage of collections with no up front costs. Shortened collection cycle times and better documentation typically result in improved collections, allowing clients to actually improve their net cash flow when they adopt this advanced technology.
